In Pokémon Sun, the in-game clock matches your console's clock, while in Pokémon Moon, the in-game clock is 12 hours ahead of your console's clock. So if you have Pokémon Moon, make sure you're playing during the daytime, not the nighttime.

  • Question
    My Cubone is level 35 and it's not evolving (and it's not holding an everstone), why is this? Is it because it's not nighttime? I don't want it to evolve into an Alola form Marowak, though.

    It is impossible to evolve Cubone into a Kanto one in Sun and Moon, but if you evolve Cubone into Marowak from another game like X and Y and transfer it over with Pokebank you can have a Kanto Marowak, but for Alolan level it up at night.

      • If Cubone successfully calls for an ally while you're trying to catch it, you'll have to defeat its ally Pokémon before you can throw Poké Balls. Be prepared for the potential of a battle taking a while, since this can happen multiple times in one battle. It can also call Kangaskhan in addition to other Cubone, which is the only way to find Kangaskhan.
