Is there a way to share the wifi password with someone from my phone instead of having them type it in? I thought there was an easy setting, but I can't find it.

It's super easy to share your wifi password if you both have an iPhone or another Apple device. Just have the other person select your wifi network on their phone and a password request will pop up on your phone. Click 'share password' and then click 'done.' Your phone has to be unlocked for it to pop up, though.

Agree with above! This also works on a Mac computer. If the person is in your contact list and signed into their Apple account, then a notification will pop up on your computer screen asking if you want to share your wifi password.

You can also create a qr code to share your wifi password on iOS. Open the shortcuts app and search for wifi in the gallery section. Run the shortcut and enter your wifi network name and password to create the qr code. Then share it with whoever you want!

If you're trying to get the password from your friend with an Android, it's really simple for them to share it.

They just need to go into their settings, click "Network and Internet," and choose "Wifi." Tap on the gear icon and then "Share" to generate your QR code.

Most routers come with a default Wi-Fi password, which is usually printed on the side of the router. However, these default passwords are not always very secure, so it’s best to set a new one whenever you get a new router.

If you’ve forgotten your password and you’d rather not reset your router, you can find your Wi-Fi password using the command prompt in Windows or Keychain Access on a Mac. You may also be able to see your password by logging into your router’s configuration page.
