    Expert Answer
I would say the Up Rock, the Baby Freeze, and the Moonwalk are the easiest breakdancing moves that a beginner could learn. These moves look impressive but don't take long to learn.
  • Question
Do I have to start doing push-ups and other exercises before I can be a break dancer?
    Community Answer
You don't have to, but it's a good idea. Push-ups will strengthen your arms for power moves and freezes. Wall push-ups are an excellent exercise for break dancers.
  • Question
Do I have to be tall, muscular, and extremely slender to master breakdancing?

  • Question
Can a tall person do the 6th step?

  • Question
How can I do a windmill if I'm just a beginner?
    Community Answer

Start by learning a few gymnastics moves, such splits, curl-ups and arm stretch.
  • Question
How long will it take me to learn these breakdancing moves?
    Stifler105
    Community Answer
It will depend on which moves you learn and how much time you spend each day practicing. The basic moves like toprock and kip-ups might take a month. Power moves like windmills and freezes might take three to four months.
  • Question
How can I improve my balance?
    Community Answer
Practice with only your socks on hardwood floors (or any smooth surface). This will help you better control your balance in a more unstable situation, making it even easier to control your balance later on when you're actually breakdancing.

  • Question
How can I learn how do to do a headspin?
    Community Answer
You first must learn how to handstand. A good way to do this is to lean up your legs against a wall and place your hands firmly (they should be straight on the floor) and your head should be in the air. Practice this and when you are ready, take your legs off the wall. Next you can practice a headstand. First remove one hand (preferably your non dominate hand) and slowly lift it up. Don’t lift it up to high. Practice this and do the same with the other. When you are ready and have mastered this, you can lift both hands up. Remember not to put to much strain on your neck.
  • Question
How long will it take to do the baby freeze?
    Community Answer
It depends on your level of strength and how much you practice. It took me 3 weeks to fully master the baby freeze. Make sure to stretch and practice every day!
  • Question
When I do the baby freeze, it looks different from when the really good dancers trained in ballet and hip hop on the school dance team do it. Is this because they have better core and arm strength?
    Community Answer
It could be, or that they've practiced more, or that their technique is different. Check out wikiHow article Do the Baby Freeze for some pointers.
