It really depends. Just because you have caught a rabbit does not mean that it is suddenly domesticated! Pet rabbits are bred for that purpose and are not as scared of humans. I guess you could, over time, get the wild rabbit used to you being near, but it is a long process and you would never be able to hold it safely like one bred for that purpose.

Ensure one hand supports its back and hindquarters at all time. Help it feel secure by holding all four feet against your body. If it is injured, take it immediately to the vet. Do not attempt to cure the rabbit’s injury on your own.
