  • Question
Could I also do this with dry hair?
    Community Answer
You could, but it is harder to get a clean cut out of it, because the hair will move much more and won't stay put.
  • Question
Why can't normal scissors be used? I don't have hairdressing scissors.
    Community Answer
You could use regular scissors; however, you would need to use new ones that haven't been used for paper or food products. Paper dull the blades of scissors, and therefore will rip hair out from the follicle instead of cutting the hair at the desired length.
  • Question
Are there different methods for thin and thick hair?
    Dev Murphy
    Community Answer
When cutting your own hair, you may opt to divide your hair into 4 ponytails rather than 2 if it's particularly thick. If you're cutting someone else's hair, you might just need to divide their hair into more layers to make it more manageable.
  • Question
    Can you use sewing scissors?
    Dev Murphy
    Community Answer
If you've got hairdressing scissors, go with those, but you can technically use sewing scissors in a pinch: just make sure they're very sharp.
