No, as long as you take proper precautions. Keep your important objects (like a phone and charger, notebooks, or medicines) near where your head is so that they're easy to reach if you ever need to get them.

If you can, give yourself some privacy by hanging a tarp to shield you from the road. If that's not an option, try going downhill from the road so cars' views of you will be blocked by the hill. Or, if you need to go, you may just need to be strategic in your timing and try to go at night when cars are unlikely to see you.

It could be worse: what if they have actually always been this low? What if this is the best they will ever be, and it's all downhill from here? Let's all just do our own best, chip in, do what we can, help each other, and hope it will be enough for humanity to progress in our lifetime.

  • Question
What if I live in the city? What ways are there to supplement food, bathroom, etc., if I can't grow or find my own?
    Community Answer
There are public bathrooms everywhere in the city, so you can use those, and if there's a local gym, you can use their showers (you'll need to pay though). As for food, look around, as there are many small dirt plots all across cities. Just be sure to choose one that other people won't steal your food from.
  • Question
What if it is starts to snow out?
    Community Answer
Snow is not an issue, this is just a case of winter camping. It will be really cold, so be sure to bundle up. You can have an extra blanket with you in your sleeping bag. There are certain kinds of tents and sleeping bags that are specially made for colder weather, so look into those choices. You should also have something that acts as a little roof right outside the "doorstep" of your tent, so that when you try to exit, you don't step in snow or accidentally kick some inside your tent.
