  • Question
Can I use lemon and honey for my lips too?
    Community Answer
    Yes, you can.
  • Question
Do I have to refrigerate the honey and yogurt mask?
    Community Answer
Yes - although honey does not have to be refrigerated; the yogurt is dairy and needs to be refrigerated to prevent spoilage. If you refrigerate it, it should last until the expiration date on the container of yogurt you used.
  • Question
How long will it take for my lips to become pink?
    Community Answer
It depends on how pigmented your mask is. You want to slowly increase the color of your lips, so don't attempt to make them as dark as possible in one try.
  • Question
What if I accidentally eat the lip mask?
    Community Answer
It's nontoxic, so you should be fine, but be more careful next time so you don't accidentally eat it.
  • Question
Would any honey be fine? Or do I have to use raw honey?
    Community Answer
Any honey will do as long as it's real, natural honey and not honey flavored corn syrup.
  • Question
How often should I do the masks?
    Community Answer
Once a week, or for a special occasion.

  • Question
Can I use lipstick to color my mask? It's homemade and has flower powder color.

    Community Answer
From my experience, as long as the mask is a lighter color (not black, dark green, etc.), you should be able to use safe lipsticks made from non-toxic ingredients. I personally think lipstick would not be the best way to color a mask, however, and I think that a food coloring would be better. Be cautious of coloring, because it could stain your skin if you leave the mask on long enough.
  • Question
Does the first step help to make our lips darken?
    Community Answer
It does not make it darken fully, but it does add a little tint and help people with chapped or naturally dry lips.
  • Question
How can I make a peel lip mask?
    Community Answer
To make a peel-off lip mask, you need raw honey (enough to cover your lips), a spoon, and some plastic wrap. This mask works great for chapped lips. First, cut a piece of plastic wrap big enough to cover your lips. Second, brush your teeth really well to get rid of all lip and teeth residue. Third, apply the honey to your lips using the spoon -- make sure it's a thick layer, but not so thick that it drips down your chin. Fourth, press the plastic wrap to your lips -- it will help trap all the heat and moisture. Leave the wrap on your lips for 15 minutes. Pull the wrap off and rinse your lips.
  • Question
What should I do if my lips burn while using the mask?
    Community Answer
Rinse off the mask and stop using it; it's probably an allergic reaction.
  • Question
Can I use it more than three times a week?
    Lara
    Community Answer
Since the skin on your lips is quite delicate, it's important not to overdo it. It is recommended that you use a lip mask only 1-3 times a week.
  • Question
    Can I use olive oil?
    Lara
    Community Answer
Yes, olive oil is a great natural oil to include in a lip mask. It will help to keep your lips soft and moisturized!
