This does not work, clicking on that icon does not show Copy files.... it shows nothing other than Sync with Itunes. GOD I detest apple.

How do I download a file from Dropbox to iPad's internal storage?

You should Install the Dropbox iOS app on your iPad if you have not already. Open the Dropbox app, go to the Files tab, and browse for the file. Then click the options menu on the top right, and select Export, then Save, and it will save it to your camera roll. You have to do it for each file. Later you may organize them in albums/folders.
