So you’ve bought a new Amazon device and need to know how to register it to use your Amazon account. All the Amazon devices can sign in with an app, but you can also use the website. This wikiHow will show you both methods of registering your device on Amazon.

    Once you open the app, you’ll be prompted to log in to your account. That device is automatically linked and registered with your Amazon account.
    • To manage your devices, navigate to your account menu, then “Content and Devices.” You can check here to see if you’ve successfully registered your device, and you can deregister when you don’t need it anymore.

    Devices like the Kindle E-Reader have an Amazon account setting. Logging into your Amazon account there also registers your device. You’ll generally find this three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
