1Launch the X platform app. It’s the black icon with a white X. Update your app, if you haven't already done so.

3Tap on Settings and privacy . It will be the second last option.

4Open the Display and sound settings. You will find this option under the “General” title.

5Turn on the “Dark mode” . Tap on the Dark mode option, then select On from the menu.

6Tap on Dark mode appearance . It's located right below the “Dark mode” option.

7Select the Lights out option from the menu. X's background will switch to black once you do so.

1Log on to your X account. Go to www.twitter.com on your desktop browser and log in with your account, if you haven't already done so.

2Click on the More option. You can see it in the left menu panel. When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear on your screen.

3Click on the Display settings. It will be the second-last option in the drop-down menu. The customization panel will show up.

4Select Lights out . Navigate to the “Background” title, then click on the Lights out button and hit “Done” to enable the true black theme on X.
- You can also change X's default colour code from the customization menu.

5Finished. If you want to restore X's default theme, just navigate to the “Display” settings and select “Default” as the Background option. That's it!
- Tap ≡ menu button, then select the blue bulb icon to quickly access the dark mode settings.
