New wlw relationship for a berriromantic asexual teen
Me and my Girlfriend are both in the closet. We are newly dating (think less than a month) and I have NEVER been in a relationship before. She has had a few boyfriends (one for 2.5 years!!!) But has never dated a female-aligned person. We have been friends for a while though. My biggest fear is that 1. I'm not going to be able to be good enough for her OR 2. I won't do enough for our relationship/I'll do too little. Any advice???

It's a really common thing to feel like you're not good enough for your girlfriend, but there are ways to boost your confidence and make sure you're there for her. One way is to brainstorm your best qualities and what you bring into the relationship, and write them down as a reminder to yourself. If you're still feeling like you're not good enough, sit down with your girlfriend and let her know you're feeling a little insecure. She'll probably be happy to remind you that she chose to be with you for a reason and how much she likes you.
If you want to feel like you're putting effort into your relationship, then make sure you're being there for her and actively spending time together. Try to keep up the flirty energy by doing sweet things for her, like taking her out on a date and helping her out when she's struggling with something. You can also just check in and ask her, "Do you feel like I'm doing enough? Or doing too much?" As long as you're attentive to her and listen to how she's feeling, you'll build a strong, healthy relationship together.

The number one way to show effort in your relationship is to pay attention to your partner. Really listen to them and focus on what they're saying when you're with them, and don't be distracted by your phone or extraneous things going on.
Another thing you could do to put effort into the relationship is to work toward resolving problems that bother your partner, especially if it's a reasonable issue. For example, if you usually run late and it bothers your partner, make it a point to be on time so you're not disrespecting them in any way.
Some other ways to show up in your relationship include getting your partner a small gift that they'll love, like chocolates or flowers. This shows that your partner you were thinking about them and wanted to make them feel special.
Spend a lot of quality time with them as well. Really connect with each other when you're together by talking openly, discussing the relationship, and incorporating some physical touch.
