QuestionMy anthurium flower withers and turns brown even before it opens. What could be the reason? Even the new leaves are wrinkled and brown.Greenhouse AndersonTop AnswererIt's possible that you have issues with the root system. Possibly overwatering and/or root disease. You need new roots to support the developing flowers and leaves. Keep the plant drier to allow new roots to form and function. Alternatively, you may have a bacterial disease that develops on the new leaves and flowers near the growing point. There is no cure for a bacterial disease problem.
