This wikiHow teaches you how to make parts of an image transparent using a free web-based tool called Lunapic.
Steps
-
Go to https://www.lunapic.com in a web browser. Lunapic is a free image editor you can use on Windows or macOS to make an image’s background transparent.
-
Scroll down and click Transparent . It’s under the “Editing tools” header at the bottom of the screen.Advertisement
-
Click Browse… . This opens your computer’s file browser.
-
Navigate to the folder that contains the image.
-
Select the image and click Open . The image will now upload to Lunapic’s server.
-
Click the color you want to make transparent. This replaces the color with a gray checkerboard pattern, which means that part will be transparent.
- For example, if you have a white background and want it to be transparent instead, click anywhere on the white background to replace it with transparency.
- Click any other colors to remove them as well.
-
Click Save . It’s the first link below the image. This will download the image to your computer.
- Depending on your settings, you may have to choose a download location and/or name the file.
