  • Question
How many times can these be used?
    Community Answer
They can be used over and over again. As long as you properly care for them, they should last a while.
  • Question
If I have triangle or heart shaped molds, will they come out the right shape?
    Community Answer
Yes. Your cupcakes will come out whatever shape your mold is, although the domes might still be somewhat circular. If your silicone molds are a large sheet, as opposed to individual cups, then simply place the entire mold on a flat baking sheet.
  • Question
What is the highest temperature a silicone liner can stand?
    Community Answer
This will depend on the manufacturer's instructions. Many will be made to withstand the highest temperature an oven will go (usually 500ºF) but you do need to be aware of what the manufacturer recommends, as some can only withstand to around 430ºF.
  • Question
Can I use paper cases inside the silicone?
    Community Answer
You can but then the silicone liner simply becomes a form of container and the cupcake will mold and stick to the cupcake paper case. This might be handy if you don't have a proper baking sheet or baking pan. There is no reason you could not do this but it does defeat the purpose most times of using the silicone container to avoid having to use paper cases.
  • Question
If I use paper liners in a twelve muffin silicone pan, do I have to spray the liners?
    Community Answer
No, you don't need to spray the liners.
  • Question
Is it necessary to use a cookie sheet?
    Community Answer
You could use a plate if it can withstand oven heat at the temperature you're planning on cooking at. Or, if the bars of the oven racks are not too wide apart, you could try balancing the cupcake liners directly into the oven but this is risky as they may overbalance and fall sideways, tipping the contents into the oven. If you're really stuck for something and you have a wire cooling rack, the liners could be arranged on that in the oven, to prevent them from toppling over.
  • Question
I am going to use a silicone bundt pan. How will this affect the cooking time in my recipe?
    Community Answer
It won't affect your cook time; bake as you normally would, same temperature and same time. Obviously, do the toothpick test to check for doneness.
  • Question
Can I bake meatloaf muffins in a silicone baking cup?
    Community Answer
That should work. Depending on the leanness of your ground meat, you may have to coat the liner. Make sure you have something under them, like a baking sheet, to catch the grease that may overflow out of the liners.
  • Question
Is it safe to use silicone cupcake holders in a 350-degree oven?
    Community Answer
Yes, silicone bakeware is typically rated to 425 degrees.
  • Question
Can I leave the cupcakes in the silicone liners until they are eaten?
    Community Answer
    Yes, if you so desire.
  • Question
Can I use these to make pastries, like for mince pies?
    Community Answer
Yes. It’s like a mini pie shell. Keep a close eye, as they may bake faster than a full pie pastry. If your recipe is specific to muffin size, then they should bake at the same time +/- 1 minute.
  • Question
Where can I buy these silicone cupcake liners?
    Community Answer
You can buy them online or at practically any store that sells kitchen products, including many large craft stores.
  • Question
Can I bake chocolate chip cookies in silicone mold and if so how long?
    Community Answer

  • Question
Can I not use silicone cupcake liners in mini cake makers, or an electric flat plate waffle and pancake makers if they shouldn't be used on stove hotplates?
    Community Answer
I would highly caution against using them on these appliances. That is direct heat and likely will either melt or affect the liners.

    Qamar

Can I freeze the cupcakes in the liners?

  • Question
Would it be silly to use silicone liners inside silicone muffin pans if I think it would be easier to handle the muffins that way?
    Community Answer
You can use them both at the same time - it won’t inhibit the baking. It can help you to strengthen the silicone pan while still getting the benefits of the non-stick of the silicone. However, take care handling it after removing from the oven, as to remove the muffins you'll need to separate the pans to remove the muffins or you risk dropping the heavier pan if tipping over to get the muffins out.
  • Question
Why do my muffins stick and not come out in one piece?
    Community Answer
This often happens if they haven't cooled down enough. Also, be sure the liners are very clean when you begin. Another thought is they might not have cooked long enough, be sure a toothpick or raw wooden chopstick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
  • Question
Would I need to spray the muffin tin?
    Community Answer
Not if you're using the liners. Liners replace the need for spraying the tin and make it easier to remove the cupcakes or muffins.
