How do I get sound to just come out of the soundbar and not my computer as well?

I ran a cable (a 3-5 mm audio video extension cable, available on Amazon) from my audio jack (green, usually) on the back of my PC to the two (red and white) jacks on my RCA sound bar. That worked for me.

I'm not hearing any sound from the USB soundbar I connected to my computer. I've tried using the headphone jack as well. How can I fix it?

Check what playback device you're using on your computer(click speaker icon and then see current device). If you're using right playback device on your computer, check what input you're using on your soundbar. For example, sometimes I connect to my bar via Bluetooth and my smart phone and other times I want to use it for my PC sound and then I have to switch input from Bluetooth to HDMI.
