No. The bamboo will grow through the plastic drainage holes, and the plastic will crack and break in a few years, allowing the bamboo to escape. Use metal or clay containers. Provide good drainage and a good, thick layer of permeable barrier between the roots and the container drainage holes (rocks or sand). Bamboo likes water, so making very small drainage holes on your aluminum metal container is best.
