  • Question
If I am really pale, and people call me Casper, is it bad to use a tanning bed to become as dark as possible?
    Community Answer
Yes! It is super bad for your skin to go to a tanning bed! It increases your chances of getting skin cancer by a lot. Use a spray-on tanner if you must, but there's nothing wrong with being pale, many people find it very attractive.
  • Question
My face is partially bleached and partly tanned. What do I do?
    Community Answer
Spray tanning is an easy and quick way to even out your skin tone. Not only will it let you control the exact shade you want, you also don't have to worry about burning or being too pale.
  • Question
I need to look mixed race for an audition coming up, but I'm tan and white. How do I look darker?
    Community Answer
This is not a good idea. If the role isn't for someone of your race, then you probably just shouldn't audition for it. In fact, trying to make yourself appear as a different race could be very offensive to people, including those who are judging your audition. If you still want to do it though, you could try a fake tan/spray tan. Spray all parts of your body that are not covered up and use foundation to blend it.
  • Question
How can I get a natural tan in a day?
    Community Answer
You can spend a lot of time in the sun, but it is not recommended as it is very dangerous for your skin.
  • Question
In quarantine my natural morena skin has turned into a pale brownish white mix. Do these methods help in restoring original dark skin as well ?
    Community Answer
Pale skin can be a sign of lack of sunlight, lack of nutrition, as well as lack of sleep or hydration. Make sure to get plenty of sleep, drink water, eat fruit and vegetables, incorporate some activity with fresh air into your life (e.g. walking or running) and use a hydrating cream on your face, including some SPF. This will help you get back a healthy skin color.
  • Question
As a brown kid in a cold US state, my skin isn't that brown. It's dark at my forehead, but lighter at my cheeks/rest of face, body, and more. How do I get my skin to be a shade darker permanently?
    Community Answer
If you want to even out the rest of your face and body to match your forehead, uncover these areas and tan them when you get days hot enough to be outside. If you are on vacation in a hotter place, this would be a good time to tan. Whenever it's not too cold where you live, it could be a good idea to wear clothes that uncover your arms, and lower face and legs. While this will not be permanent, it will last a while and be safer than spray or tanning bed tans.
