  • Question
I'm a kid trying to rap and get quicker, but my mouth sometimes goes to gibberish. What can I do?
    Community Answer
Try to do mouth exercises, like mouthing words. Saying words like "Netflix" and "poptarts" over and over will really help, too, especially if you say them fast.
  • Question
When my son raps, he hardly breathes. Why?
    Community Answer
When rapping, he might need to get all the words out fast, leaving him no time to breathe.
  • Question
How do I stop mumbling when I rap?
    Community Answer
Practice articulating and enunciating clearly in your everyday speech first. Rap slowly and carefully, then gradually speed it up. Practice as much as you can. The more you practice, the better you'll get at this.
  • Question
I speak too quickly when I rap. How do I slow down and stay on beat?
    Community Answer
If you write down your raps, strategically place commas between phrases. This will help you remember to pause, just like when speaking normally. Practice tapping along with the beat, as well. Most importantly, allow yourself to relax and feel the beat.

Try with a slower rap. Childish Gambino's Sweatpants rap is a good start. And put it on a slower speed too.
  • Question
Want to rap same as Iggy Azalea but my tongue messes up and I can't rap too fast. How do I improve it?
    Community Answer
Rapping takes a lot of practice. Try doing some tongue twisters so you wont mess up when saying a lot of words quickly. Practice saying your rap out loud first and get faster every time to practice speed.
  • Question
Do you have to think of words when you rap or does words pop up in your brain and say those words?

    Community Answer
Being able to think of rhyming lyrics on the fly is part of what makes rapping a difficult art to master. Saying entirely random words, however, even if they do rhyme, may compromise what you are trying to say in your rap.
