The best way to do that is to experiment as much as possible! Try out new materials, colors, and compositions. Avoid trying to copy other artists, and after consistent practice for a few weeks, look at what you have done and mark the pieces that you intuitively resonate with.

How can I draw an animal robot?

Start by drawing the animal standing up. Then put the lines on/around face with 'screw' circles to resemble the metal. Repeat the same steps across the whole body of the animal to make it appear as if they are made of metal. Finally, finish the details of the eyes and pelt.
