  • Question
If I share a video from Google Drive will the recipient be able to view everything on my drive or just the video?
    Community Answer
    Just the video you've shared.
  • Question
Why can't the recipient download the video clip sent via Drive? They can view it but not download.
    Community Answer
Usually this is due to the permissions you have set for the file. In order to enable downloading, you should go to "Share" and type in the email of your recipient(s). Once you have done that, set their permissions to "Can Edit". They should be able to download the file now.
  • Question
How do I view videos on my Gmail account?
    Community Answer
When someone sends you a video, it will come up either as a link or an icon. Either way, you can click on it and play the video.
  • Question
How do you email part of a YouTube video?
    Community Answer
The short answer is that you can't, not unless you either download it and edit it or use a desktop recorder to record only the bit you want and send that instead.
  • Question
If I send a video using Google Drive, can just the recipient see it, or do all of my Google contacts see it?
    Community Answer
Only your recipient can see the video unless you share it with others. Your recipient can share it with others, but you can change this ability with the settings.
  • Question
Will the person I send it to be able to see the video right away?
    Community Answer
Depending on the size of the video, there may still be a small waiting period before the video is officially "uploaded" to the drive to view (hosted by Google). The easiest route might be to send the email to your friend (with the link to the video) after 30 minutes to be safe -- so they can just click it.
