  • Question
    When should wasabi be harvested?
    Community Answer
You can harvest wasabi year round. The leaves, stalks (petioles) and rhizome all have culinary uses. The leaves and stalks can be eaten raw (e.g. salads or sandwiches) or cooked (sautéed, soups, added to mashed potatoes, etc.). If you cut the leaves and stalks, just be careful not to cut the central shoots on the top of the wasabi rhizome.
