That's okay! It can feel uncomfortable and frustrating when someone's going through a tough situation that you can't fix. Focus on offering him a listening ear and letting him know that you're there for support.
  • Question
What can I do when he tells me he wants to be alone?
    Community Answer
Leave him alone and give him time to think.
  • Question
What if he is not ready to talk about his past?
    Community Answer
Be patient; if he is not ready it's because his past is painful. Be patient and understanding and let him know that he has time and you'll be there for him for when he's ready to talk. Don't pressure him to talk.
  • Question
Why would a man divorced man for thirteen years have his wedding band still in his dresser drawer? We live together.
    Community Answer
It could mean something, but it could mean nothing. I kept my engagement ring for years before selling it. I also recently dated a man who hated his ex, but, had still kept the rings. Perhaps sentiment? Or, perhaps it just doesn't mean anything to him, so he sees no reason to get rid of it. But, if it bothers you, and you want him to get rid of it, you should ask him.
