  • Question

  • Question
What is the overall best way to improve critical thinking?
    Community Answer
Critical thinking is evaluating what you hear and read. It helps to explore the motive of the information. You learn though research, asking questions, and not assuming you're right.
  • Question
How do I use critical thinking on close relatives?
    Community Answer
Question all your assumptions about them, and don't accept information uncritically...investigate for yourself whether things you are told are true.
  • Question
When someone tells me their idea, I just listen and nod without thinking about it. How can I change that?
    Community Answer
You could actually listen and ask questions if you're curious about something they said.
  • Question
How do I know if something is right or wrong?
    Community Answer
Form a set of permanent facts/rules. If someone asks you a question, always give a form of response. If you know the answer then give the answer, if you don't then say you don't, or if it's a personal question you can simply say you'd prefer not to say.
  • Question
How can I get to be a great leader in future if I'm currently 15?
    Community Answer
Try to research different leaders and find the style of leadership you enjoy most.
  • Question
How do I know if an answer is correct or not when improving my critical thinking skills?
    Community Answer
Don't look at it that way, as it is not about answers or being correct, it's about having the ability to pierce through illogical, false and obfuscating speech, writing or ideas. While you are in the process of improving your critical thinking, aim to be disciplined and be ready to be flexible when you find out your way of thinking may not be correct but needs adjustment. Sooner or later, with experience you will know what is more likely to be truth and what is likely to be factually unlikely or just plain wrong. Often, the answer will differ for different situations, which is why critical thinking is really about being agile and open-minded rather than seeking a one-size-fits all solution to everything, as that's just not possible.
