Yes. Most hotdogs are bought precooked and can be eaten 100% right out of the package.
  • Question
Do I cook frozen hot dogs the same way?
    Community Answer
No. They may not cook all the way through, and uncooked meat is not safe. Thaw them out first.
  • Question
Can you put the bun and the hot dog together?
    Community Answer
You can, but a bun will get hot faster than a hot dog and will get overheated if you microwave them both for the same length of time. So it is recommended to microwave the bun separately for a shorter period.
  • Question
How long should I defrost a frozen cooked hot dog in the microwave?
    Community Answer
I would use the defrost setting on your microwave. If that's not an option, then I would heat the hot dog for 30 seconds at a time, checking it after each interval until it's done.
  • Question

I would suggest putting on a lot of condiments if you like them. But no one cares what your hot dog looks like. It's food.
  • Question
How can you steam hot dogs in a microwave?
    Community Answer
Its a bit more work to "steam" a hot dog, but if you prefer steamed - try this: Fill a small microwave-safe bowl (1/2 cup or less) about half full with water and place it in the microwave. Heat the water for 30 seconds to one minute, you want it to be pretty hot, almost boiling will work fine. Add the hot dog on a microwave-safe plate, leaving the bowl of water in the microwave, and cook the hot dog until heated to your liking. The water will add moisture, but takes longer to heat than the hot dog, be sure to heat the water first.
