I need to get glass replaced on very large pictures. One is 38x29 and the other 31 3/4 x39 5/8. Any idea where I might get? I live in a very small town in TN.

Go to a local glass or framing shop, Get an 1/8-in single pane glass cut to size, always carry vertically, never flat, as that size will snap like a potato chip in a heartbeat.

I want to put some new pictures over some old pictures as I want to use the frames. Can I use tissue paper to separate the picture so as not to damage them?

Make sure it is acid-free paper so it doesn't damage the front of the picture. Don't use the tissue paper you buy for wrapping gifts. You can check out art supply stores or any place that frames pictures should have an idea of where to buy them.

What can I use for replacing a glass out of a picture frame?

You can go to Home Depot and get Plexiglas and use a razor knife to cut it to size. Put a piece of blue tape in the area where you'll cut the Plexiglas. Mark your cut line on the tape. Take a razor knife and score cut the line. Press hard enough to cut through the tape, and leave a scratch in the Plexiglas, but not through the Plexiglas. Bend the Plexiglas backwards from the score, and it should snap off. You may need to run razor across the edge if not smooth.
