    Expert Answer
When you get in front of the goal, the key is to keep your composure. Make sure that once you get in front of the goal, you try your best to see where you would like the ball to go before receiving it. To direct the ball, position your hips in the direction of where you would like the ball to go.
  • Question
How do I set my head to score either a corner, free kick, or a cross using my forehead?
    Community Answer
First, practice heading the ball, then, work on learning the right angle to get it into the net from where you are.
  • Question
What if the defenders block my way to the goalpost?
    Community Answer
You can pass your teammate inside the box or take a long shot. If the defense wall is too tight, then pass the ball back.
  • Question
Can a defender also score a lot of goals?
    Community Answer
Yes, though it is atypical, and usually the result of unique circumstances, like scoring with a header off a corner kick.
  • Question
Which is the easiest way to score in football?
    Community Answer
Aim to the corners of the net and hit the ball as hard as you can.
  • Question
If I am playing soccer with my friends, how can I score?
    Community Answer
If you're in a tight space, I recommend passing the ball to someone free. Make sure they're not past the last defender, as it would be classed as "offside". Keep calling for the ball when you're not offside and you still have some space. When you're in the box, don't be afraid to take a shot. If the goalkeeper pushes it away with his hands outside the pitch behind the goal, it will become a corner kick. Try heading the ball if you're tall enough.
  • Question
What if my teammates are not passing the ball to me?
    Community Answer
Call for the ball as loudly as possible if you think you're in a better position to score. However, if they are in a better position, let them have the shot. What is important is the success of the team, not personal glory.
  • Question
If I want to score a goal with my left foot what should I do?
    Community Answer
Practice shooting and your skills as much as you can with your left foot to train and build up confidence with your left foot. Once you have confidence and control with your left foot, you'll be able to use it during matches.
  • Question
What makes a ball go up when it is shot?
    Community Answer
The angle. The ball will go flat if your angle isn't enough to make it in the air.
  • Question
What if I am the only person against a group of defenders?
    Community Answer
Pass the ball to an open player and run behind the defenders to receive the ball back. This is also called a "1-2", "wall pass," or "give and go."
  • Question
What if I am the only one open and I cannot score? What do I do?
    Community Answer
Ask for the ball. Even if you don't think you can score, it doesn't hurt to try, and you will probably draw a defender, which may leave someone else open.
  • Question
Can I strip on the pitch?
    Community Answer
Yes, but you will probably be thrown off of the pitch and possibly even removed from your team.
  • Question
How does a soccer player get paid?
    Community Answer
A soccer player gets paid yearly and based off of what team he/she is on.
  • Question
I get tense when I get a pass from another player and don't know what to do. How do I overcome this?
    Community Answer
Trust in yourself! Everyone is going to make mistakes. Just think how good it will feel if you score or assist. Take the ball, unless someone is in a better position, or someone says "man on". Otherwise, play soccer! Having the ball is part of it.
  • Question
I'm not good at scoring, can you give me a tip?
    Pierce Koreniuk
    Community Answer
Aim for the corners. It's harder for the keeper to reach there than anywhere else.
  • Question
How do I overcome my fear and score more goals?
