  • Question
I'm someone who doesn't get enough sleep because I feel as though I need to live my life every second I have. I recently got a stomach bug, and it's been terrible. I know it says to get sleep, but what is one way I can stop my normal way of staying awake at night, and get a normal sleep routine?
    Shade Nightfall
    Community Answer
You could exercise daily on a specific routine, or you could get sleeping pills for a short amount of time until you get into a normal routine of sleep. Avoid using all electronic devices for at least an hour before when you want to sleep.
  • Question
How can I convince myself to take a shower every day?
    Community Answer
Buy yourself a shampoo or soap with a scent you really like.
  • Question
What if you like to cook a lot?
    Community Answer
That's great; food is an important component of caring for oneself. Focus on cooking healthy recipes, and make yourself a decadent treat once in a while.
  • Question
I have a toxic liar in my life. I have tried to get away from him, but he does this with everyone. What can I do?
    Community Answer
Ignore toxic people. Don't listen to what they say. Also, don't argue with them, as that will only encourage them. This will send the message to them that they are doing something bad. If they continue, hold an intervention with their family and friends. Tell them they need to stop. Be adamant.
  • Question
I feel like this girl is so much prettier than me and has such a better life full of great people and I always look at her and think what am I doing wrong?
    2029 Seeun-Annabelle Cho
    Community Answer
Know that even girls like her may seem so perfect on the outside, but they have their struggles too. Try not to be jealous, instead, focus on yourself. If you are happy with yourself, you shouldn't compare yourself to others.
  • Question
Why do I smell bad even after showering?
    Community Answer
It may be related to your diet. Consider wearing deodorant or anti-perspirant. That typically fights against bad odor and keeps you smelling and staying fresh the whole day.
  • Question
What if I don't like sleeping?

    Community Answer
Try relaxing before sleep by doing yoga or journaling. Try omitting all light in your bedroom at night and eliminate distractions. Put your phone in another room, shut the blinds, and most importantly, focus on your breathing. Sleep will come more naturally this way. Or take a book (not an electronic device) in bed to unwind and wait until you feel yourself getting sleepy.
  • Question
What if I have curly hair, sensitive and oily skin, and dandruff in my hair?
    CatLover2010
    Community Answer
See this article on straightening your hair, or use a flat iron. Use EWG-certified products on your skin that don’t include oil in them or use cosmetic clay and exfoliate at least twice a week. For the dandruff, use a dandruff shampoo and a fine-toothed comb to get rid of your dandruff, and be sure to brush your hair regularly.

    Community Answer
Nine hours of sleep is plenty. Some children could even use a little more than that. Make sure you also eat a healthy breakfast and get a little sun during the day!
