QuestionWhenever I have been opening Opera, I'm getting the message "VPN is temporarily unavailable. Opera is resolving the problem." I am in Iran, now what can I do to solve it?Nicole Levine is a Technology Writer and Editor for wikiHow. Nicole also holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Portland State University and teaches composition, fiction-writing, and zine-making at various institutions. There's a chance your computer or router's firewall is blocking the VPN connection--make sure Opera is allowed through your firewall. It's also possible that your internet provider may be blocking the connection. If you're using a laptop, try bringing it to another location and connecting to a different provider (such as one at a library or cafe). If you can connect to the VPN, the problem is your internet provider. If not, try selecting a different region in your VPN settings to see if that helps.

QuestionWhenever I switch on the VPN, I get an error message saying service not available. Any ideas why, and how I could fix it?ScottCommunity AnswerMost often this is due to the fact that you or your carrier is not subscribed to a Virtual Private Network. You should contact your cellular carrier on this one to find out about the subscription details. If they cannot help you, you can look at other subscription options.

QuestionI do not have the VPN setting on my Opera. What can I do?Community AnswerMake sure you have installed the latest version of the Opera Browser. QuestionI turned it on at home and nothing came through. Any hints on what I can check? Router settings for home internet? Other settings?Community AnswerYou wouldn't see anything immediately. If it's on, you should see the VPN icon in blue towards the top left of your screen. The browser VPN wouldn't affect you router settings as it only works for the browser. If you are still unsure whether it's on or off, you look up 'what's my IP address' when its off and compare this to when it's on. If they are different, the VPN is working.
