Chicken Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 pound fettuccine pasta
* 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Optional: garlic, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cut the chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. If you're using garlic, add it to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the Parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until it's melted and incorporated into the sauce.
If desired, add red pepper flakes for a little kick, and fresh parsley for flavor and color.
Add the cooked chicken and fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are coated with the sauce.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Note: You can adjust the amount of heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to your liking. If you want a thinner sauce, use less Parmesan cheese. If you want a thicker sauce, use more heavy cream.
