Note: Please consult with your physician before you begin training for an eating contest.
Two months (or more) out: Begin training by stretching your stomach with water. Drink water very rapidly, and each time you train, push yourself to drink more in a shorter period of time. Do a schedule of expanding your stomach every other day, with a break in between. You may want to try expanding your stomach by eating fruit during your training as well.
One week out: If you haven’t yet, now is the time to practice with actual hot dogs so that you can perfect your technique. Instead of expanding your stomach with water, do your best to simulate the actual hot dog–eating contest and eat as many hot dogs as you can as quickly as you can.
22 hours out: Eat a max-out meal, consuming as much low-calorie, high-fiber food as possible in one sitting. Do not eat again until the contest.
