As you may know, I was being considered for the position of Director of Special Projects for the South Carolina Department of Education. I have indeed been chosen to serve in this role and, as a result, am no longer able to fulfill my duties to the residents of District IV. While I regret that I am no longer able to represent my constituents, I do look forward to serving the state of South Carolina in this new role. The Department has many great things in the works, and I am excited about the things to come for the students of South Carolina schools.
