How do you know if someone blocked your number?

Maybe something is wrong with my phone, but I feel like I can never get a hold of this person that I've been trying to reach and I'm starting to wonder if they blocked me...is there any way I can figure out if they actually blocked my number or should I just wait it out?

Your phone usually won't notify you if someone blocked your number, but there are few signs that you can look out for that could signal you're blocked.
  • Your calls go straight to voicemail after ringing once
  • Your texts fail to send or are stuck sending instead of saying "delivered"
  • The person doesn't appear in your suggested contact list
  • You can reach them using a different number
You could try reaching out over social media or chatting with them in person if you really need to get a hold of the person.

There's no bonafide way to know for sure, but here are a few possible indicators: You're sent straight to voicemail , you hear a different greeting, there's a message saying they’re not accepting calls from you, or you notice you're being stuck on an endless hold .

I'm an iPhone user and I realized that I was blocked when my messages became green and said "sent as text."

Seeing "Your message was not delivered" is also a sign that you might be blocked on iphone.

Get a phone relay. A relay will. In layman's terms, Change your number to a different number to the line you are calling. If you can get through with the relay but nor once you switch it off chances are it's a number block.
It's still not 100% because there's so much behind the scenes going in on today's phone. Nothing is hardwired anymore. Even house lines are voip services.
