Open your moderation tools. To do so, go to your subreddit, then select "Moderation tools" on desktop or mobile.

Select "Banned users" from "User Management". This will open up the list of users currently banned from the Reddit.Advertisement

Select "Add". This will allow you to add a banned user to the Reddit.

Enter a reason for the ban. This message will be sent to the banned user.

Enter a moderator note. This will be visible in the log visible to moderators as well as Reddit staff.

Enter the ban duration. To make the ban permanent, select the "Permanent" checkbox.

Select "Ban user" or "Add". This will ban the user from the subreddit. They will receive a message about the ban and the ban duration.
