Whether it's orders delivered by a third-party service and Shopper (Shipt), store shoppers for Pickup and DriveUp, or if it's online orders provided by a Target warehouse - if you've been ordering from Target's app and have had issues on being able to give your most-accurate mobile phone number, this article will give you details that will help you change this and rescue you, so Target and their shoppers can reach you when necessary!

Steps

  1. 1
Open the Target app, and login if necessary. The Target app looks like the traditional Target bullseye and is mostly white with a red, circular bullseye shape in the center.
  2. 2
Navigate to your Profile page. Tap your name tab in the bottom right corner of the app, then tap "Profile." The Profile section should be in between "Provide feedback" and "Payment cards."

  3. 3
Look for the listing that's labeled "Mobile number." Although most of your old, provided phone numbers are blurred for privacy, this listing's title is bolded. You'll find this in the "Contact details" section - right underneath the email address associated with your account (which is something that won't be able to be changed here.)
  4. 4
Tap the "Remove" button to the right of your mobile number.
  5. 5
Accept that you are willing to not use that number to sign in. Read the statement "If you remove (number), you won't be able to use it to sign into your account." Tap the red "Remove" button once you’ve read this.
  6. 6
Add your new number. Tap the "Add" button, tap the "Mobile number" field, and type in your mobile number. (If necessary, tap the flag in the left side and change the flag to your associated country), then tap the "Verify" button.
  7. 7
Wait for a code that will come to this phone number via text message.
  8. 8
Type this six digit code into the associated blanks below the "Enter verification code" boxes. If you wait long enough and have at least iOS 12, you can tap the "From Messages" button to prefill these boxes.
    • If you don't receive a message, tap the "Resend code" option.
    • Below the boxes, you'll see the phone number your text message went to - starting with "We sent the code to (number)."
  9. 9
Wait for the confirmation message to disappear and your phone number field to update.
