LinkedIn is known for being one of the most difficult companies to contact if you have a customer service issue. [1] X Research source The company doesn’t offer a customer service phone number or email address, and their corporate phone system does not allow customers to reach anyone at LinkedIn without already knowing an individual's direct phone number. However, there are several ways to send messages to LinkedIn and wait on their responses. If you reach out through LinkedIn’s help center, through social media, or through traditional contact methods like snail mail, you'll likely be able to find a solution for whatever issue you're facing!
Steps
Using LinkedIn’s Online Help Center
-
Access LinkedIn’s help center through their website. To find answers related to your issue or to submit a message to ask a specific question, you have to start by visiting LinkedIn’s help center. To access, type https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin in your browser’s address bar.
- This will direct you to the help center whether or not you are logged in to LinkedIn. If you are logged in, you can also access online help by clicking on “Me” in the upper right corner of your LinkedIn page and choosing “Open Quick Help.”
-
Explore the available links to see if your question has been answered. There are FAQs and user forums that can be searched through the help center. There may be enough information there to solve your problem and eliminate the need to contact LinkedIn directly. Start there to save yourself unnecessary time and aggravation.
- Most of the questions answered in the FAQs and forums are general account-related questions. You can find out how to reset or recover your password, cancel your premium subscription, or report another user for violating LinkedIn's policies.

Submit a question through LinkedIn’s Help Forum. From the Help Center, click on the blue box in the center of the page that says “Visit Help Forum.” From there, you can click “Start a New Forum Discussion” to ask a specific question, or you can search through the forum to find a question similar to yours that is already being discussed.
- After you submit the question, you have to wait to receive a response back. LinkedIn will email you when a response has been posted to your question. Because these are open forums, other LinkedIn users may chime in with helpful information or LinkedIn representatives may respond directly.
-
Connect with LinkedIn employees and send them direct messages. If you know the names or departments of the people you want to contact, you can try to reach them directly through LinkedIn’s connections interface. Begin at LinkedIn’s company profile page by typing this address into your browser’s address bar: https://www.linkedin.com/company/linkedin/ . Then, click the link in the middle-right of the page that allows you to see all the LinkedIn employees.
- You can connect with specific people and if they accept your request to make a connection, you’ll have the ability to directly message through LinkedIn’s messaging service.
- Don't attempt to connect with LinkedIn employees that you do not know. If you send them messages to get your customer service issue resolved, you will probably get your LinkedIn account suspend for violating the website's Terms of Use. Use this method only if you are trying to reach a specific individual.
-
Chat online with a representative if you are a premium subscriber. If you are a paid LinkedIn subscriber, there will be a link at the bottom center of the help page that allows you to request customer service via live chat. Click that link to be connected to a live customer service representative.
- This service doesn’t have regular business hours listed. If there are representatives available the link will say “Chat with us (online).” [2] X Research source

Sending Messages over Social Media
-
Tag @LinkedInHelp in a tweet to get a response to a simple question. @LinkedInHelp is the company’s customer service Twitter profile. They reply to tweets with helpful information and resolve issues through tweets. [3] X Research source
- Keep in mind your tweets are limited to a certain number of characters, and posting your question this way makes your question and any accompanying information public. Stick to simple, short questions that do not reveal personal information for this method.
- An example of a question you could ask through Twitter is, "I cannot log in to my account. Is your website down?" This type of question addresses a broad and impersonal issue, and can help other users who may also be having connectivity issues.
-
Send @LinkedInHelp a direct message through Twitter. To send a direct message, visit @LinkedInHelp’s Twitter page at https://twitter.com/linkedinhelp and click on the blue button located on the left hand side that says “Message.” A pop-up window will open up in which you can type your message, and also attach pictures to documents to support your request. [4] X Research source
- This option is great if you have a longer question or need to share more personal information to get your service request fulfilled.
-
Message LinkedIn customer service through their Facebook page. Visit LinkedIn’s official Facebook page by typing https://www.facebook.com/LinkedIn/ in your browser’s address bar. From there, a pop-up messenger window will automatically open in the bottom right corner of the page. You can type your question and upload related documents or screenshots directly through that window. [5] X Research source
- If the pop-up doesn’t automatically come up or if you accidentally close it, just click on the grey box that says “Send Message” in the middle-right of the profile page.

Making Direct Contact
-
Send snail mail to LinkedIn’s corporate office. Send mail to LinkedIn’s corporate office, located at 1000 West Maude Ave, Sunnyvale, California 94085. If you are mailing something important and want tracking, ask the post office to include a delivery confirmation or signature service on your letter. - Depending on where you are located, it may take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to get a response back (if you ever get one). This would be best in cases where you want to submit a complaint or comment, but did not expect a response back.
-
Visit the corporate office if you know exactly who you’d like to speak to. You can visit the corporate office at 1000 West Maude Ave, Sunnyvale, California 94085. However, there will most likely be a security team that limits access to the building, and you will have to know exactly who you are looking for in order to plead your case to see them. - In many cases, you will not be able to meet with anyone if you don't have an appointment.
-
Call their customer service number if all other methods have failed. You can try to call their main customer service phone numbers at (650) 687-3555 or (650) 687-3600. However, it is unlikely that you will get through to anyone at these numbers. If all other options have failed, you can give it a try. [8] X Research source
- These numbers tend to have recordings with limited options and full voicemails unable to take messages, making it impossible to reach anyone.
