Creating Your MasterBlock
-
1Learn the MasterBlock rules before creating an item. While you're welcome to create any item you wish, if you're wanting to turn it into a den item, you need to follow the MasterBlock rules for it to be approved. MasterBlocks must not contain any of the following: [2] X Research source
- Letters.
- Numbers.
- Offensive imagery.
- Imagery/items not appropriate for children under 13.
- Bedroom furniture, showers, baths, or guns.
- Anything meant to be mean or offensive to others.
-
2Be aware that MasterBlocks are not free to export. MasterBlocks have a minimum price of 50 sapphires. Depending on the number of blocks you use, this price may increase.
- Additionally, understand that only members can create den items out of their MasterBlocks. However, non-members can still create and save MasterBlocks in the game.
-
3Load an existing MasterBlock draft to edit if you wish. If you have started and saved a MasterBlock in your drafts, you can select the Load button to choose it and continue editing it where you left off. If you have no existing drafts, however, you can start a new MasterBlock instead.
-
4Understand how to move. Once the game loads, there will be a transparent cube on a flat platform. There are several arrows surrounding the cube. By clicking these arrows, you can move to the left, to the right, up, down, forward, or backward to place cubes.
-
5Add blocks. Unless you want a one-block creation, you will need to add blocks as you build. Select the Add Block button near the bottom right to add a block in the current location of the transparent cube. You can use the arrows to move and add more blocks in different locations.
- You can also use the Mirroring feature to add multiple blocks at once. This tool lets you add two blocks at once at opposite sides of each other. [3] X Research source
-
6Remove blocks, if necessary. If you add a block somewhere by mistake, removing it is simple. Once a block is added in a space, the Add Block button is replaced by a Remove Block button. Click this to remove the block in your current location.
-
7Change the color of your blocks. If you wish to use a color other than white, you will need to change the color of your blocks. There are two ways to change a block's color.
- If you wish to add a new block with a different color, select the art palette icon in the bottom-right corner and choose a color from the menu that appears.
- If you wish to change the color of an existing block you have placed, select the block and choose the dump bucket icon to dye the block that color after changing the color by using the art palette icon.
- You can use the dropper icon to sample a color you have already used in your creation.
-
8Use the additional tools when needed. There are a few other tools available in the game. These include the select, zoom, and clearing options.
- Click the icon that appears as a block with an arrow pointing at it to select a block.
- Choose the magnifying glass icon to zoom in and out.
- Select the broom icon to clear every block and restart.
-
9Check the block density. The Block Density bar appears under the Create Den Item and Exit buttons. This bar measures he final block size and ratio of your MasterBlock. The block density determines whether or not collision can be enabled. [4] X Research source
-
10Save your MasterBlock. Once you finish crafting your MasterBlock, click Save to save it. This is not mandatory, but it can help save your creation in case you need access to it later.
-
11Click Create Den Item if you'd like to turn your creation into a physical item in the game. If you wish to have your MasterBlock as a den item, select the Create Den Item option to turn it into one. You will need to pay the number of sapphires listed and be a member to do this.
-
12Consider enabling collision if available. If given the option, consider enabling collision. This will allow you to stack or climb on the item by creating an invisible wall. [5] X Research source
-
13Add the item to your den once it passes moderation. All MasterBlocks need to be approved by Animal Jam Headquarters before being turned into a physical item in the game. Before an item is moderated, it will appear as a box in your den. The moderation process may take up to a week.Advertisement
