Festivale is a fun event that takes place on February 15 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. On the day of the event, Pave the peacock will visit your island, requesting that you bring him some of the multicolored feathers floating around your island for a gift in return. You might even end up finding a rare rainbow-colored feather! Since all you need for this event is a net, it is not only super fun, but also very easy to participate in!

Prepare yourself for Festivale. While most of the Festivale event takes place on February 15, there are actually a few things you can do from the very start of February, before the actual event. Listed below are a few of the things you should try and do before the event.
- From February 1-15, you will be able to buy special Festival themed clothes. This includes the Festivale Costume, the Festivale tank dress, and the Festivale accessory. All of these items can be bought in four different colors, red, green, purple, and blue.
- You will also be able to buy Festivale themed items from Nook’s Cranny. These include the Festivale reaction pack, which comes with four different Festivale themed reactions, and different Festivale themed furniture items. Like the clothing, the furniture will come in four different colors, Red, Green, Blue, and Purple.

Boot up your game and head towards the plaza on February 15. This is the day of Festivale. There you should see Pave dancing, along with your villagers all dressed up for Festivale. If you have any Festivale clothing, put it on.
- If you still haven’t bought any Festivale clothing, this is the ideal time to do so, as you will need some of it before talking to Pave. The day of the event, you will be able to buy every single Festivale clothing item, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to get a certain piece.

Speak to Pave. He will tell you about how he loves dancing and request that you bring him some of the feathers that are floating around your island. He will tell you that if you bring him three feathers of the same color, he will perform a dance and give you a prize. He will also say that if you give him one rainbow feather, he will also give you a prize. He even mentions that if you bring him three rainbow feathers, he will give you the best prize of all.
- Pave will also give you the DIY recipe for a rainbow feather. Collect one of each color feather, and head to a crafting bench to craft it.
- If you still haven’t put on your Festivale themed clothes, he will tell you that you don’t show the spirit of Festivale, and he will not tell you about the feathers.

Equip a net and collect feathers. When you see a feather, walk right up to it, and press A. If you see an animation of your character holding the feather, you caught it and it should be in your inventory. If you miss, that's okay. There are still plenty more feathers you can catch, so just keep on trying, and you'll soon get some.
- If you don't have a net, you can either buy one at Nook's Cranny or craft one yourself using five tree branches, which can be collected by shaking trees.

Talk to Pave when you have collected three of the same kind of feather (Or one rainbow feather) to give him the feathers. He will then thank you, and do a dance. Once he finishes dancing, he will give you a random piece of Festivale furniture, either the Festivale Stage, Festivale Garland, Festivale Stall, Festivale Confetti machine, Festivale Flag, Festivale balloon lamp, Festivale Parasol, Festivale lamp, or the Festivale Drum.
- Keep in mind that the color of the furniture you get will be the color of the feathers you gave him. For example, if you give him three red feathers, your item will be red.

Speak to Pave once you have obtained three rainbow feathers. He will then congratulate you, and do the very special dance. He then gives you the Festivale float, which is like a giant golden peacock parade float, completed with a bunch of colorful lights.
- This is technically the end of the Festivale event, but you can still keep giving him more feathers for more prizes.

Consider customizing your items. All of the items you have collected from Pave by giving him the feathers can be customized into different colors, so if you don't like the color of an item, you can change it. Just collect a rainbow feather, walk up to a crafting table, and customize the item using the rainbow feather just as you would customize an item with a customization kit.
- Despite the feather being rainbow, you can use a rainbow feather to customize the furniture into any color, not just rainbow.
