Meet Cosmo is the third adventure in the order of adventures in Animal Jam. It is available to all Jammers and is preceded by The Phantom Portal. The goal of Meet Cosmo is to free the two koala explorers by collecting certain items to create boomseeds, a new way to destroy phantoms. Two keys must also be found to free the koalas. Read on for a walkthrough of the hard mode of the adventure.
Steps
Making the Boomseeds
-
1Listen to what Cosmo has to say. After loading into the adventure, you'll see Cosmo the koala alpha. Click the exclamation mark over his head. However, if you already know what you have to do in the adventure, click the X at the top right of the speech box. If not, Cosmo will warn you of the phantoms polluting the land once again and that he is worried they may have captured the two koala explorers he sent out earlier.
-
2Water Cosmo's garden. Cosmo will ask you to water the 7 fields of crops in his garden before leaving. Use the water well in front of you to do so.
- Water the field of cabbages. Grab a can of water. Go straight up from the water well and water the field above you.
- Water the strawberry patch. Get another can of water and go up and to the left. Water the small patch of strawberries by the fence.
- Water the grape field. Go down from the water well and water the field of grapes below it.
- Water the cornfield. Go right of the grape field and water the field of corn.
- Water the radish patch. Go up past the patch of strawberries and water the radishes.
- Water the tomato field. Go right of the water well and water the patch of tomatoes.
- Water the carrots. Go around the small phantomized river by the grape field. Water the field of carrots.

3Gather the three ingredients Cosmo asks for. Once you finish watering the fields of Cosmo's garden, he will tell you that the two koala explorers have been captured. He will also ask you to find the first three ingredients that are needed to make the boomseeds in order to defeat the phantoms: honey, chomper seeds, and nectar.
- Fetch the nectar. From where Cosmo is, go right until you find the entrance to his den. Go inside and then keep going left until you reach the other side of the bottom floor of the den. You'll see a plant with pink flowers in a large plot. When you get near, a paw print icon will appear over it. Click it and a jar of nectar will appear by your animal. Then go back to Cosmo and click the exclamation point over his head to give it to him.
- Fetch chomper seeds. Go back inside the den and immediately up the leaf ladder to the second floor. As soon as you reach the second level, you'll see a hammock with a bag of chomper seeds beside it. Click the paw print icon over it and a chomper seed will appear beside your animal. Then go back to Cosmo and give it to him.
- Get the honey. Head to the right of the grape patch which is below the water well. Behind it will be a tree with a beehive. Click the paw print icon over it and you'll receive a jar of honey. Head over to Cosmo and give it to him.
-
4Get the next four ingredients Cosmo asks for. After gathering the first set of three ingredients for him, he will ask for a combination of four random fruits and vegetables from his garden. Each time you enter a new adventure of Meet Cosmo, the crops Cosmo asks for will change. Depending on the clues he gives you that hints to the vegetable or fruit that he is asking for, go to that field to fetch the correct crop and then go back to him to give it to him. Repeat this process until you've finished fetching the four crops he asks for.
-
5Pick the boomseeds . Once you gather all of the ingredients, boomseeds will grow on the tree next to Cosmo. Click the paw print icon over the tree that appears when you near it and you'll receive three boomseeds - you can't keep more at once. The icon at the top left will show you how many boomseeds you have left to use. When the three boomseeds run out, you can pick another three by clicking the paw print icon over the tree again.
- Learn how to use boomseeds. After you pick boomseeds from the tree, Cosmo will explain to you how to use them. Click and hold the icon at the top left and then drag away the boomseed. Drag your mouse cursor over to your target and then release. The boomseed will explode and destroy your target.
-
6Break the boulder. Behind Cosmo will be a large boulder blocking the pathway you'll have to go through. Click and drag a boomseed from the icon at the top left and release your mouse once it is over the boulder. The boulder will explode, clearing the path for you. Cosmo will tell you to find the first cavern by following the first pathway. After he leaves, click the paw print icon over the tree to refill your boomseeds.Advertisement
Freeing the First Koala
-
1Enter the pathway. When you first go into the patch of tall grass that is behind where the boulder previously was, you'll see a still phantom. Kill it with a boomseed while hiding in the tall grass. If you go a little ahead, there will be another moving phantom. Kill it as well and then hide in the second patch of tall grass you see.
-
2Reach the water well. Before you get to the area with the water well, beside the second patch of tall grass, there will be two more phantoms in the way - a still one and a moving one. Once you kill one of them, gather more boomseeds or use the chomper plants to save your boomseeds. Some chomper plants may need to be watered, but there will be a few that are already watered.
- Speak to the green koala in tall grass. Kill any phantoms in your way and go a little past the water well. In a patch of tall grass beside the ladder to a den, you'll see a green koala. Click the exclamation point over his head. He'll inform you about the two koalas the phantoms have imprisoned. Afterward, an arrow showing you the direction of the cavern will appear.
-
3Reach the bridge that leads toward the cavern. After speaking to the green koala, go up. A phantom will be guarding the way - trap it or kill it. Then continue going up and past the bridge you see.
-
4Play the song on the bamboo pipes to unlock the ladder to the cavern. Once you go over the bridge, you'll see a yellow koala in tall grass. Click the exclamation point over her head. She'll tell you to play the nightingale bird's song using the bamboo pipes. The colored ribbons around each pipe represent the different notes.
- If you haven't listened to the nightingale bird's song yet, go back where the pathway narrows to lead to the bridge. There will be a curve of land going into the phantom river, which has a tree with a nightingale bird in it. Click the exclamation point over its head to see the colored notes that represent each note of its song. Play it as many times as you need to. The order of the note colors are blue, green, orange, purple, and then orange again.
- Climb up the vine ladder. After you play the notes in the correct order, a vine ladder leading to the entrance to the cavern will appear.
-
5Go inside the cavern. Once you go up the ladder, you'll see the entrance to the cavern blocked off by a large boulder. Destroy the boulder with a boomseed and, if you need to, gather more boomseeds from the tree beside the cavern. Then enter the cavern.
-
6Find the key to rescue Max. After entering the cavern, go down the first slide you see in front of you and then down the one you arrive at. Go left, break the phantom web, and climb up the ladder. Go left of the small stone platform and you'll see the key. To get back to Max, go down the same ladder you climbed up and then right, killing the phantom. Then climb the first ladder you see leading up. Climb up the ladder you arrive at and go through the short narrow pathway. Break the phantom web and you'll find Max.
- The key may be in a second area. After entering the cavern, go through the short narrow pathway by Max. The pathway will go up and then diagonally up right - follow it, killing the phantom in the process. Don't go down any slides or ladders until you reach the small slide at the very end of the stone pathway. Go down it and go down the slide you arrive at and then up the ladder beside you. Then go up the ladder you arrive at. Break the phantom web and kill the phantom. Go right of the platform and down the next ladder you see. You'll see the key beside a large glowing crystal. To get back to Max, go up the same ladder. Then go left and down the ladder beside the slide. Go down the ladder you arrive at, through the narrow pathway, and up the next ladder you see. Climb the one after that and go left through the pathway. Then go through the short narrow pathway leading to Max and free him.
- The key may be in a third area. Go through the short narrow pathway by Max and then through the pathway as it goes up and diagonally up right. Go down the slide at the very end of the stone pathway. Go up the ladder above the next slide that goes down. You'll find the key beside a large blue glowing mushroom. To get back to Max, go down the same ladder. Go down the next slide you see. Keep going left and climb the ladder you see above the boomseed pile. Climb the next one you arrive at. Go left, down, and then left again of the stone pathway you arrive at without going down any slides or ladders. You'll eventually arrive at Max again.
-
7Exit the cavern. After freeing Max by clicking the exclamation point over his head, go right and you'll see the exit.Advertisement
Finding the Bridge
-
1Go outside the cavern. Once you do, you'll see a water well to your left. Grab water in case you'll need any. Go right past the Zios checkpoint and you'll see a tree of boomseeds. Gather any if you need them.
-
2Listen to Cosmo. Go in the tall grass under the boomseed tree and Cosmo will appear to you. He'll tell you of a new way the phantoms have found to multiply themselves: phantom sprouters.
-
3Move along the pathway after Cosmo leaves. A phantom sprouter will appear. If you don't destroy it quickly enough, it will begin to spawn phantoms. Destroy it with a boomseed as well as any phantoms that managed to escape. If you can, try destroying the sprouter and the phantom(s) at the same time.
- No matter how far you get, phantoms that spawn out of sprouters will chase you no matter what, even if you don't get into their range. The only way for them to stop chasing you is if you hide in tall grass.
- Try luring all the phantoms out of the sprouter and then destroying them while hiding in tall grass. This will earn you more courage. Then destroy the sprouter once it stops spawning phantoms.
-
4Keep going along the pathway. Eventually, another sprouter will appear. Destroy it with a boomseed or lure out all the phantoms and kill them first if you want more courage. Go back and gather any boomseeds if you need any.
- Afterward, there will also be a still phantom blocking the way. Kill it with a boomseed and continue along the path.
-
5Reach the phantom web. After continuing along the pathway, you'll come across an intersection - one part of the pathway goes up and the other goes down. Follow the pathway that goes down. A phantom will also be blocking the way at this point - kill it or trap it and keep going. Keep going down until you come across a phantom web. Break it. Immediately after, a phantom sprouter will appear. Destroy it and its phantoms and then continue along the pathway.
-
6Reach the second phantom web. After destroying the sprouter, keep going down the pathway. You'll come across another still phantom that will be in front of an arrow pointing down diagonally right. Kill or trap it and then follow the pathway. You should be passing a large patch of white flowers. You'll eventually come across a second phantom web. Break it and continue along the pathway.
-
7Continue along the pathway. Immediately after destroying the second phantom web, a phantom sprouter will appear. Destroy it and kill any phantoms that spawned out of it. Right after that will be a third phantom web. Break it.
-
8Reach the apple tree. After destroying the third phantom web, you'll see a phantom - kill or trap it. After you pass where that phantom previously was, another phantom sprouter will appear. Destroy it. Go slightly to the right and you'll arrive at the apple tree over a patch of tall grass.
-
9Speak to Isaac. In the patch of tall grass underneath the tree will be a koala in a helmet named Isaac. Click the exclamation mark over his head. He will inform you that the bridge to the second cavern is broken. He'll also tell you that you'll need to get the materials that he needs to fix the bridge from two other koalas named Zosi and Tobias.Advertisement
Freeing the Second Koala
-
1Go to Zosi's house. After speaking with Isaac, continue down the pathway, killing the two phantoms in the process. Just before you enter the fenced area where Zosi's house is, a phantom sprouter will appear. Destroy it and then continue through the entrance of the fenced area until you see a ladder leading up a den. Go up it and then go up to the second floor of the den. You'll see a pink koala named Zosi. She let you know that she'll give you timber to fix the bridge if you fetch her a banana.
-
2Get a banana for Zosi. Go back to the large patch of white flowers that you passed when you were following the pathway. Around the bottom of it will be a banana tree above a boomseed tree. Get a banana, avoiding or killing any phantoms, and head back to Zosi. Give the banana to her and you will receive timber.
-
3Give the timber to Isaac. Go back to where Isaac is and click the exclamation mark over his head to give him the timber. He'll then ask for the rope.
-
4Listen to Tobias. Go back inside of the den and go up to the third floor. You'll see a brown koala named Tobias. He'll tell you he will give you rope to fix the bridge if you fetch him an apple.
-
5Get an apple for Tobias. Go to where Isaac is and grab an apple from the apple tree above him. Go back to Tobias and give him the apple. He'll give you the rope afterward.
-
6Give the rope to Isaac. Go back to Isaac and give him the rope. The bridge will then be repaired and an arrow pointing to the second cavern will appear.
-
7Go inside the cavern. Once you go across the bridge, there will be a phantom. Kill it and then destroy the boulder blocking off the entrance to the cavern. Then enter it.
-
8Find the key to free Eden, the second trapped koala. After entering the cavern, go down the first ladder you see. Go left of the small platform you arrive at and then down the slide. Go left once again. Destroy the phantom and the phantom web. Then go left and down the next ladder you see. Go slightly left and stay close to the edge of the platform so that the phantom sprouter does not detect you. Go up the next ladder you see. Climb the ladder you arrive at and then up the one above the boomseed pile. Break the phantom web and kill the phantom. Go left and down the slide, then down the slide you arrive at. You will see the key. To get back to Eden, go down the slide past the key. Keep going left and then up the first slide you see. Go up the slide you arrive at and up the one right of the boomseed pile. Go up and diagonally up right, following the pathway, until you reach Eden.
- The key may be in a second area. When you enter the cavern, kill the phantom in front of the pathway going left. Go down the first slide you see, then down the one you arrive at, killing the phantom. In front of you will be another slide - go down it. You should see a small hot pond. Go left of it and you'll see the key. To get to Eden, go up the same ladder you went down. You'll see a sprouter - destroy it and any phantoms. Go up and climb the first ladder you see. Go down the slide at your left. Keep going left and then down the ladder. Climb the next ladder you see and the one after that, then up the one right of the boomseed pile. Go up and diagonally up right through the pathway until you arrive at Eden.
- The key may be in a third area. When you enter the cavern, kill the phantom in front of the pathway going left. Go down the first slide you see, then down the one you arrive at, killing the phantom. In front of you will be another slide - go down it. You should see a small hot pond. Go up the ladder above the pond. Destroy the sprouter and any phantoms that appear. Go up the large stone platform and up the first ladder you see. The key will be there. To get back to Eden, go down the slide next to you. You'll arrive at a platform will several slides. Pass them and keep going left until you reach a ladder. Go left and up the first ladder you see, up the one after that, and then up the one right of the boomseed pile. Follow the pathway that goes up and then right, killing any phantoms if needed, and you'll arrive back to Eden.
-
9Claim your reward. Once you save Eden, Cosmo will appear. Five chests will be presented to you, which you can choose one prize from. The prizes are shown in the image.Advertisement

1Fetch carrots for Rosalind. Rosalind is the yellow koala hiding in the patch of tall grass by the music-making bamboo pipes. Go to Cosmo's garden and grab a carrot from the carrot patch. Then go back to Rosalind and give it to her. Every time you do this, you'll gain courage points and she will give you a bag of 50 gems. This task can be completed an unlimited amount of times. You can complete this task only after you rescue Max from the first cavern.

Gregor is the koala inside the first den you see after leaving Cosmo's garden. He will be inside the den Liam is outside of.
- You'll need to revive the river surrounding the second cavern by Isaac to water some plants, as there are at least three that are on patches of land past the phantomized river.
- You'll also need to use the cork that Gregor has before the reward can become available to you. After you plug any phantom pipe with it, go back to him, click the exclamation point over his head, and he'll give you the chest.
