Are Virgo and Aries compatible?

I usually think of Aries as a more expressive and vivacious sign, while Virgo is kind of quiet and boring. But if you think about the two in the context of communication, Aries is straightforward and emotional while Virgo is straightforward and unemotional. I can totally see how it would lead to conflict. At the same time, one of my best friends is an Aries and she’s dating a Virgo. They seem super happy. I think my friend’s goofiness is sort of brought back to earth by her Virgo partner’s coolness and obsession with practicality. I think it’s a good combo!

I think the biggest crossroads that a Virgo/Aries couple will face is usually the fact that they don’t often have a lot in common. Virgos are usually kind of hermits who don’t mind their alone time, while Aries needs to be exploring and socializing out in the world. Now, this isn’t always the biggest deal if both partners are sort of accepting of the fact that Aries needs to run around and Virgo needs to stay at home sometimes. Like, if you can be really adult about it, it’s no big deal. But if people start getting possessive and jealous it’s going to get ugly real fast.

Virgo here, I had a relationship with an Aries that, while we aren't still together, did last quite a long time and we even lived together for a while. I would say this pairing can definitely work. He needed a lot of space and time to go do new things, etc., but I was a homebody content to hang out alone and wait for him so that worked. And we were pretty good about communicating with each other too. But like others said the emotional vs. unemotional personalities could clash now and then. I wouldn't say that's what did us in but it didn't help, ha ha.

Virgo is an earth sign and Aries is a fire sign. Those two can either combine to be a consistent source of warmth in an otherwise cold world, or they can ignite and burn down everything around them. I think virgo and aries make a great pairing. I'm a virgo and my husband is an aries. in my experience, virgos are a great source of stability for the relationship and aries are like the engine that helps propel the relationship further, using virgo's stability as a foundation. for example, I'm good at planning and organizing, and my husband is good at taking initiative and actually putting those plans into action. I ground us and he brings in spontaneity.
