If you want to do gel nails at home, you need all of the equipment to do a good manicure. You need the gel base, gel polish, gel top coat, and then you need a gel lamp. You have to have a gel lamp in order for the gel to cure, unless you can polish your nail and then go outside and hold it in the sun, but I wouldn't necessarily rely on that method.

To do gel nails at home, definitely use a UV lamp, and make sure to apply thin layers of gel. Thick layers can cause bubbles and will peel off more easily. Thin layers make it last longer.

Hello my fellow wikiHowians! Long story short, I’ve got a tattoo I want to get rid of. I’d like to completely remove it if possible, but I’m also down to just cover it up if I can’t remove it. I really can’t afford laser removal right now though, and it’ll be a while before I can cover it up with another tattoo if that’s what needs to happen. I’m curious if there are any DIY tattoo removal methods I could pursue? Are there like…creams or natural solutions that will get rid of the tattoo? Can I replicate laser removal at home? I’d even be down to try just lightening it a bit if I can’t get it fully off.

How do I give myself a luxurious makeover at home?
When I look in the mirror, I just feel kinda blah about how I look recently. For the past few years, I've dressed the same, done my makeup the same, everything the same. I feel stuck in a rut and just want a totally different style that makes me look my best. I've never really done a makeover before, so what are the basic steps I should follow? Haircuts have gotten so expensive and I really don't feel like paying for one when all I need is a basic trim. I'm pretty confident I could cut my hair on my own, but I'm a little afraid I'm going to screw it up. Any tips for trimming hair at home and making it look good?
