What are some bingeworthy shows to watch right now?
Any fellow binge watchers have something interesting to recommend? I just finished watching the entire Gilmore Girls
series for the third time and I need something new. I have Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Apple TV, and Disney Plus, so I think I should be able to stream basically anything? What have you seen lately that you really loved?

I know I’m a little late, but I just wrapped up Baby Reindeer
on Netflix. It can be a really emotionally draining watch at times, but it’s really powerful stuff. It’s not often a widely-reviewed show gets a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, so trust me when I tell you it’s a great watch.
If you’re looking for something a little longer that you can binge, Succession is a very smooth and funny watch. That’s on Max though, which you don’t mention.
For Apple TV, people seem to really love Severance right now, but it’s not a show I’ve seen (I don’t know anyone with Apple TV).
For Hulu, I have to demand that you watch The Bear if you haven’t seen it already. It’s like…the most stressful thing I’ve ever seen in my life in a good way. It’s about this cook in Chicago who runs an Italian beef restaurant and the first season follows him as he tries to turn it into a functional place to work. It doesn’t sound amazing on paper, but I promise you will laugh and cry. It’s so good!

I'll second Severance on Apple TV! It's been a while since the first season came out, but I remember being so drawn in when I watched it. The show does a great job of creating suspense and piquing your interest because it's such a unique and off-putting setting. Gave me a bit of an existential crisis but that's part of the experience haha. So excited that the second season is being released right now (episodes started coming out in January 2025).
On Netflix, a new show I've been watching is American Primeval! It's awesome if you like historical shows (and even if you don't, I think it's still great).

The shows I've watched and loved most recently on Netflix are Squid Game and Arcane. Squid Game is super popular and I can see why! The story is about people in massive debt competing in deadly games for a huge amount of money, and the high stakes and desperation bring out the worst in all the characters, it's so good. I binged Season 1 and Season 2 in less than a day (~15 hours of episodes)!
I've been waiting for Arcane season 2 to come out since the first season released 3 years ago, and I watched all the episodes as they came out. Some people lose interest when they hear it's an animated show but I urge you to give it a try anyway! It's gorgeous, each frame feels like a piece of art. They do an incredible job of fleshing out the characters and there are really cool science fiction, fantasy, and steam punk elements. It has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!
