In astrology, Chiron is a planet called “the wounded healer” and is a good placement to find the ways that we project our wounds on other people and try to heal them in those people instead of dealing with the internal wound that's present. I would say the emotional root of your trauma is heavily connected to your Chiron placement, and if you're having trouble digging toward what that root may be, Chiron is a really good place to start.
To understand Chiron, consider this analogy: Say you have an open wound on your leg that's cut and bleeding, and you’re looking out at other people who are moving through the same environment as you. If you don't focus on addressing your wound, you're going to snap at people or try to yank people off of the path and say, “Hey, be careful. Hey, don't walk over there. You could hurt yourself,” and meanwhile, they're like, “You're the one bleeding.” But you're so focused on stopping someone from experiencing your pain that you're not addressing your open wound.

Chiron is known as the “wounded healer.” It’s an asteroid that represents where you’ve been deeply hurt, but also where you can help others heal. It points to emotional wounds, trauma, and soft spots—but also your unique ability to be empathetic and wise in that area. For example, I have Chiron in Scorpio in the Third House, so I’m very sensitive to communication and subtle vibes in conversations. It helps me be perceptive, but it's also an area of pain I had to work through. Everyone has a Chiron, and it reveals both a wound and a healing gift? It shows where you’ve been hurt, but also where you have special insight and healing energy.
