Although you might enjoy driving for Uber, something that can make driving more fun on Uber is the inclusion of a rewards program they call "Uber Pro", especially for Driver-Partners. This program has a number of levels, so you will likely want to increase from the basic Uber Pro Blue level. This article will explain how to increase your level standing in this program.

Steps

  1. 1
Open your Uber Driver app. The app is black with the word Uber on it and a right-pointing arrow beneath the word.
  2. 2
Learn the makeup of the program. Uber Driving isn't just a one-leveled program. You start at their base level - Blue - and increase in levels through Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

  3. 3
Understand what benefits come with access to higher levels.
    • With Uber Pro Blue, you have limited access to low cash back at gas stations including the higher rate at Exxon/Mobil or lower-rated rates at most others, and nothing more.
    • With Uber Pro Gold, you'll have access to higher savings on cashback on gas (if you use an Uber Visa Debit Card), a fully-paid tuition coverage at an online-accredited University (ASU Online), can see the direction and time of the trips at request time, have "dedicated customer support", be provided 24/7 roadside assistance, have your level shown to riders, get discounts on car maintenance, have discounts on TurboTax Self-Employed and obtain a free health-savings account.
    • With Uber Pro Platinum, the cashback amounts increase and at Uber Pro Diamond not only does the cashback increase yet again, but you'll also get Diamond VIP Support.
  4. 4
Put yourself online. Continue taking trips. Uber Pro is based on a variety of factors including points, your rating, and your acceptance and cancellation rate.
  5. 5
Learn about the points system. Trips outside of certain times will give you at least one point, while trips during other times will give you three points. This differs from city to city, but during higher demand and over a weekend you'll likely see 3-point trips appear more often. On the ride summary dialog box on your in transition/offline maps, you'll see how many points you've been awarded for trips taken and completed, though this is also given within your Trip Details page just below the amount you've earned from the trip.
    • To obtain Gold , you must have at least 200 points. To obtain Platinum , you must have 500 points. To become Diamond , you will need 1000 points.
      • Points reset quarterly - back down to 0. There's no rolling scale for points you've earned at the expiration day of a quarter.
  6. 6
Learn what you can do to collect points for delivering UberEats orders. If you have access to both ride requests and delivery, you’ll get points. But if you solely do delivery, these points don’t apply to you - and therefore neither will this program.
  7. 7
Learn about the different levels. On your profile page, if you continue reading into the continuation page, you'll find information about the different ways to increase your levels.
    • You can find the menu by going to the menu bar, then tapping your first name line, then looking underneath your name on the profile page for your level.
    • You'll also want to view what you can through the Help Center in your Uber Driver app. Although the details explain some of the benefits of the program from the Help Center, you can gather more details to determine just how far you need to go to obtain certain benefits or benefit levels.
  8. 8
Watch your rating. To obtain Gold or more, you must have a rating of at least 4.85 stars.
  9. 9
Watch and maintain an acceptable acceptance rate. Take every trip you are offered if possible. You will need to have at least an 85% acceptance rating.
    • Acceptance rates are on a rolling scale and "clear" after 30 days - regardless of other offline appointment reasons.
    • Declined rides or "missed rides" factor in heavily, but those that cause an error after accepting aren't factored into your acceptance rate - even if you accept the trip.
  10. 10
Don't cancel on a rider. You shouldn't cancel unless the rider was a true no-show at the rider's location after the paid wait time is "up" and Uber says it's safe to cancel. You will want to keep this at less than or equal to 4% to get the higher rewards period.
  11. 11
Maintain these rates. Follow your rates from your profile page, and watch for notifications that you've gained levels. This should pop-up after a completed trip which brings you into new brackets of standings.
  12. 12
Contact Uber through your Uber Driver app. If you have any questions about the program or feedback about the program or bugs you can contact them directly.
