- ½ - 1 cup (120-240 milliliters) white rice
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 milliliters) white onion, chopped
- ¾ - 1 teaspoon (3.6 - 5 milliliters) teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ - 1 teaspoon (3.6 - 5 milliliters) salt
- ¾ teaspoon (3.6 milliliters) black pepper
- ¾ teaspoon (3.6 milliliters) lemon pepper
- ¾ cup (180 milliliters) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) brown sugar
- 2-3 eggs
Servings: 4-6 pork chops
Steps
-
Season the pork chops on each side. Place the pork chops in a Pyrex pan and season with the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lemon pepper.
-
Prepare your Chinese sauce mixture into a stock pot. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, chopped white onion, and minced garlic together and gently combine with a mixing utensil and set aside for later use.
- You can vary the soy sauce amount based on your preference of saltiness. Pour half of the bottle of soy sauce if you would like to increase the savoriness of the dish.

Cook both sides of the pork chops over medium heat. Place the pork chops into the stock pot with the sauce mixture. Turn on the stove top to medium heat and cook the pork chops on both sides until they are brown. It should take at least 5-8 minutes to brown on each side.
-
Pour the water into the stock pot. Add the water to the pork chops and allow it to cook over medium temperature until the pork chops are tender, taking about 45 mins to 1 hour. You may add more soy sauce as needed, depending on your preference.
-
Prepare and cook the white rice. Place the rice into a heat-proof bag and close tightly. In a large pot, add water and boil until it bubbles and steams. Place the rice in the pot once the water is boiling. Cook for about 15-18 minutes until the rice is soft and fully cooked.
-
Boil eggs in a separate medium-sized sauce pan. While waiting for the pork chops to tender and for the rice to cook, boil the eggs for 7-10 minutes. Once done, allow them to cool until warm enough to touch. Peel off the shells and set aside.
-
Insert the boiled eggs into the stock pot. Add the boiled eggs into the pot of pork chops for about 15 minutes before the pork is all the way tender.
-
Allow the dish to cool for about 5-6 minutes.
-
Serve and enjoy. Serve the dish by placing the rice on the plate, and then placing the pork chop with the eggs on top. Enjoy!
- You can add a spoonful or more of sauce from the pot once the meat and eggs are placed on top. However, this is up to preference and taste.
