Part 1 of 3:
During the Start of December
-
Decorate for Christmas. You can buy a real Christmas tree or put up a fake one. Decorate it with decorations and lights.
- You could choose a theme, such as red and gold, or star decorations for a cohesive look.
- You could put up a Christmas scene like a nativity scene to go along with the tree.
- You can also add lights and decorations outside your house. It'll help spread the Christmas cheer.
-
Start buying presents. It's wonderful to buy special gifts for your family and friends. Tailor your presents to the interests of your recipients. For example, if they like football, you could get a shirt with the team name they support on it, and if they like pop music, you could buy them a CD you think they might like. You may want to go at the very beginning of the Christmas season to avoid the rush.
- You can also make your own presents. Many people like handmade gifts.

Make cards. Use a fun range of materials, like crepe paper, coloured glue, stickers or textured paper and card. Write friendly messages in them, and give your cards to the person when you next see them, or send them by mail.
- You could also opt to send a digital card to your family and friends.

Part 2 of 3:
During the Middle of December
-
Go to a Christmas play or performance. If you know someone that is starring in a play, it can be great to support them and see them perform on stage. Their school might be doing a nativity play, which would be sweet. Maybe you can bring some friends or family so you can spread the love. Just make sure you're not embarrassing them by doing so.
-
Make a Christmas Eve box for when the time comes. A Christmas Eve box is a box opened on Christmas Eve containing some Christmas gifts, like pajamas, hot chocolate powder, a Christmas decoration, and a Christmas film/book. It's a lovely tradition to do.
-
3Visit family and friends that you live far away from. You could give them a Christmas card, too. It's wonderful to give family extra love near Christmas, as they may be stressed or worried, or need some help with Christmas preparations.
-
Bake Christmas foods. Christmas cake or gingerbread are good options. Cinnamon is a great scent and flavour to inspire Christmas foods. Bake with a group of friends or family if you need to make multiple goods.Advertisement

Part 3 of 3:
During the Last Days Before Christmas
-
1Finish all your preparations. It's good to be prepared and ready for Christmas day. As the saying goes, make a list and check it twice! Wrap all your remaining presents, send the last Christmas cards and work to complete everything on your list.
-
Wear a Santa hat or some reindeer ears in public. People might laugh, but it makes people smile a lot. You can even knit your own Christmas accessories, like socks. You could potentially knit socks as a present, too.
-
Hang up your stockings. Santa can't fill them if they're not hung up! Hang stockings on the end of your bed, or on the fireplace if you have one. If you have a different place in mind, that's ok too.
-
Open your boxes and watch a Christmas film on Christmas Eve. You could also find a Christmas Eve event to go to if you'd like. You could make it a new tradition.
-
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!Advertisement
