Yes, because it deletes the search history automatically. But, if you prefer to do it manually, it's basically the same. Just take into consideration that “Incognito” mode also deletes (some) cookies. That basically translates in not having ads related to what you searched. Even if you delete manually your search history, you may be shown ads related to what you searched and “deleted”.
