  • Question
Does it call for data while listening to stations?
    Rudy Toth
    Community Answer
Yes. When listening to any radio station on a phone or video, it requires data to be used. Be careful with videos since they eat a lot of your data and you might need that for later use. The flipside is that if you have WiFi, then the chances are slim with a service that offers no data caps. You can play music /video for hours and not worry about "network data" volume consumption.
  • Question
Rotation locked, toggle switch in settings will not allow ''on'' staus. How do I enable auto rotation?
    Rudy Toth
    Community Answer
Does your phone have any drop down menu'? Sometimes you can find the toggle switch in the panel of all the buttons to apply to the drop down list. However, that really depends on what phone/OS system you have.
  • Question
Can I tune by using a frequency rather than a specific station?
    Community Answer
A superheterodyne receiver with tuning adjusted by adjusting the frequency of a local oscillator is used in modern radio tuners. This technology converts the desired radio frequency to a fixed frequency that can be tuned with a fixed-frequency band-pass filter.

Why does my FM app want to access the microphone?
    Andre Michael Pietroschek

  • Question
Anyone have a work around to move your old Radio Station List from an old phone to a newer phone? NextRadio's website is long gone and it seems the App on my new phone wants to connect to it, but can't.
    Community Answer
You can sync your old phone info, and apps along with files and playlist to cloud. Set up a free account with Google or one of your preferred cloud services, and back up, then log into your cloud data storage on the the phone you want the data transferred to and all should be there then choose to restore data. You can also get a sync or transfer app In play store just ask your provider which app to use. Also, if you have an SD card, you can put that in old phone, download data and then remove and put in a new phone and then pull from the SD card.
  • Question
Unlocked Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). When I open the app, I am greeted with a message that says it wants to play FM radio, but can't. They then ask that I call my cell service provider.
    Community Answer
Check for any new updates for the app, if that's the only problem it may just need new version of app or a update.
  • Question
I recently installed the app, but I'm not able to get sound through the headphones or by switching to "output to speaker." The headphones work with other audio sources.
    Community Answer
Does the app have sound with no headphones? It could be the app - check your settings, as most phones now have volume limits when headphones are plugged in. Also, is everything else working with sound on your phone? If not, then it could be a device issue.

    Andre Michael Pietroschek

If you mean the radio FM, then you most probably need a headset inserted, as it serves as the radio antenna. Also, check your phone settings, it may be that one option to activate FM is there.
