  • Question
When you become a streamer, can you hide your face and hide your identity? Is it okay if the viewers only knew your voice and account name?
    Fjyhd
    Community Answer
Yes. I do this, but I don’t have many followers/subs. If you do have a camera, it is recommended to show your face so people can get to know you.
  • Question
Can I have an art stream on Twitch?
    Louise_eats_sand
    Community Answer
Definitely! Just set up your camera at a good angle, set up your other devices and then you can start streaming. If you go in the 'Art' section on Twitch, you will find streamers with hundreds of viewers. So yes, go for it!
  • Question
How can I convince my parents to let me become a Twitch streamer?
    Louise_eats_sand
    Community Answer
Tell your parents that it is a passion of yours. Maybe tell your parents that you just commentate with no camera at first. Then, maybe talk to them separately about camera usage if you feel ready to be seen.
  • Question
How much money do people win in streams?
    Louise_eats_sand
    Community Answer
It depends on the amount of donations people send you. The more you receive, the more money you make! For streaming itself, you don't earn money though.
  • Question
Can you make a page on how to buy/choose equipment to become a streamer?
    Mikkebak
    Community Answer
Yes, there are extensions that show off the equipment you're using, so that people can buy their own setup just like yours, and you can make money off that too by using affiliate links that give you kickback (a small percentage of the purchase price), such as Amazon.
  • Question
    How can I stream using a PS4?
    Mikkebak
    Community Answer
Make sure that you have a stable internet connection to it, then press once on the SHARE button on the Dualshock 4 controller to open up the share quick menu. Navigate to "broadcast gameplay", then select your streaming platform (and log in if you haven't already). Once you've selected a streaming platform, you'll get a multitude of options to customize your stream. After you've gone through the options, click on the button that says start broadcasting and you're live! When you want to stop, just enter into the same menu and click the "stop broadcasting" button. And don't worry, whenever you enter into a system menu, the broadcast will temporarily be paused.
  • Question
How do you get the screen to focus on the game?
    Mikkebak
    Community Answer
This depends on what you're streaming on, but in OBS you'll need to make sure the source in the scene is directly capturing the application and not your desktop. Then you can format it to fill the screen.
