What do I do if it reads as a read only file when trying to save as?

Change permission of the host file to become modifiable by your currently logged in PC user name. On Windows PC: first right click on the file > Properties > go to 'security' tab > click 'Edit' permission > on the first box of usernames click on your currently user name > then on the second box of permission allow for modify & create > click Apply > click Yes on the pop up warning > click OK > and OK again. Then you can save and replace the original file.
