  • Question
I have a plant but need to keep it indoors. It has little white insects on the stems and foliage. How can I eradicate these insects?
    Community Answer
Spritz with a solution of dish washing detergent and water. They'll die. Don't over-wet the plant. Keep an eye on it to make sure all the insects die. Re-treat as necessary.

  • Question
Can I grow a papyrus plant near a pond in zone five if I bring it indoors in the winter?
    Community Answer
I have been growing my papyrus in zone 3b in a 5 gallon pot filled with water and a circulating pump in full sun since May 25th. It has been flourishing. I plan to drain it, split it, pot the plants, and keep them in a sunny window in a tray of water this winter. If it has wet roots and sunshine it will grow. Zone 5 is warmer than 3b so you should have no problem if you keep it wet.
  • Question

    Community Answer
Yes, as long as it receives plenty of water. Just water it often or turn on a sprinkler.
